A Reflection

I've had a couple of very fine moments in the last couple of days. I shall recount them in chronological order ....

A few nights back Clan Jones was driving home from dinner with some friends. LGR had gone to sleep as soon as we reached the car and Hayzey was right on the edge but still awake enough to talk. She gave us her version of what would happen during the week to come:

"Me and Mummy will spend some time together. Some girly time. And we'll go shopping. We will get a bone. For Casper. I'm thoughting this will happen on Wednesday."

Interjected through this were little yawns and pauses. And she invented a new word :-)

The other very fine moment was at Bents Basin. It occurred while cooking lunch. There was a very lovely moment in time where I mentally stood back and had a look at what was going on. We were outdoors in a beautiful, placid and relaxing place with friends. Mrs G was sitting at a camp table chatting, Hayz was pottering around the place being herself, LGR was next to me and were cooking a natural BBQ amidst the wonders of nature. It was one of those moments that was as close to perfect as you can get.
