Our air-conditioning is busted again. I'm hoping the motor has run out of gas and it's an easy fix. Time will tell I suppose. In the interim we just have to hope the kids sleep under the covers and don't lose their slippers and dressing gowns.
LGR went for another bike ride today. He learnt a new skill - how to skid. He was quite excited when he looked behind him and saw a black line left on the concrete. Today was also a nice chance to explain the concept of steep in relation to hills. He definitely understood the difference between uphill and downhill - but also pointed out that when you're in a car it's just as easy to go up hill as down hill :-)
Hayzey has begun to transfer her thoughts and emotions to her Dora doll. There are definite advantages to this - it becomes much easier for us to determine what she is thinking and how she feels about things. LGR is also doing it with Tommy but in a different way - he is Tommy's Mum/Dad and the way LGR treats/relates to Tom is how he views Mrs G and I relating to him. It's all very interesting and a nice way of getting honest feedback from someone who doesn't know they are giving it.
