Canberra - The Second Day

Over night I had the pleasure of sleeping with LGR in a double bed - not that you would know he slept or that it was a double bed. He is very restless and very possessive of bed space. Suffice to say I didn't get a lot of sleep. Luckily CJ did - for the first time in a long time Hayzey slept through.

Brekky was a quick trip in to Civic for some food at my Dad's shop - not sure if he wants any PR on this site; but if he does the link will be here.

After breakfast we were in the car again and the kids went to sleep again. So we drover around more of Canberra again. I like Canberra's roads - double lane, smooth, very little traffic and bugger all traffic lights. You can seemingly get from any where to any where in almost no time.

Once the kiddies woke our destination was Cockington Green. I was a bit of a sceptic at first but soon discovered the miniatures are quite cute. LGR loved it - he wanted to touch everything and was fascinated by it all. At the end we went for a steam train ride which LGR loved and Hayzey used to make a new fried (CJ sat next to a young girl - about 8 - and she was holding Hayzey's hands before we started moving).

Lunch was had and then we were off for another drive - because the kids were asleep again. We ended up at Yerrabi Pond and the kids had a play before we set off back to Pampar's place. Much to our surprise Pampar and AJ came home early and caught us with a very dirty house. Whoops :-)

The rest of the day was spent letting the kids destroy the house. CJ and I cooked a very easy dinner and we all had to fight LGR for the right to watch some adult TV (ie the news).
