Canberra - The Third Day

Another day sharing a bed with LGR - and I'm still tired. But I got some very nice hugs at about 04:00 when Pampar's dog decided it was time to start barking at some animal in the paddocks behind their house. LGR didn't say anything but I think he was a bit scared.

At breakfast he took a great deal of delight in telling Pampar and AJ that they had a 'naughty dog'. In spite of this LGR let the dog in the house and was quite content while she was in the house - so long as the dog kept well away from him.

After brekky (at Pampar's shop again) we decided to head over to Red Hill Lookout. This trivial task become a little difficult due to a a random turn in Civic which threw out my navigator. By the time we recovered the kids were asleep again and the views (which looked magnificent) were enjoyed from our car. From here it was a drive through Duffy and Rivett to look at the site of the new proposed recreation park and then down to South Tuggeranong Lake for a game and some food.

What did we do there? Played on some swings, played soccer, fed ducks, climbed, chased, played on see-saws - all the good stuff. It got cold at about 11:30 so we shot through soon after and ended up spending close to an hour finding a hot dog for LGR's lunch.

After lunch it was time for yet another sleep for the kids and another meandering drive for the adults. We arrived back at Pampar's house at about 15:00 and once again the kiddies found some kid-style energy and did their thing.

Boo-boo and her parents arrived for dinner at about 17:45 and within the hour Pampar and myself were dispatched for pizza. In that time it became apparent that LGR thought Boo-boo was a good friend (Boo-boo is approx 6 months younger) so all adults were able to relax just a little bit.
